The Catalina Island Blues Festival was a yearly event from 1997 to 2001 off the coast of
southern California. A guitar was created every year, designed by John Page and Pamelina H., carved by
George Amicay and painted by Pamelina H. Regina del Mare is based on tile artwork at the entrance
of the Casino Ballroom. (Photo of Catalina Guitar 2000 is missing).

This guitar features artwork on top of a beautiful stained top The mermaid is from the famous Avalon Casino Ballroom on Catalina Island. It was relief-carved by George Amicay. Unique on this one is the clear back-painted pickguard.

This guitar a complicated relief carved top. A wood veneer was applied to the decorative background with painted gold edging. It was relief-carved by George Amicay.

Here is shown the last guitar from the series and features a painted neck and headstock. The artwork was painted on top of relief carving, including the neck and headstock. It was relief-carved by George Amicay. Unfortunately, Pamelina's Studio doesn't have a photo of the Catalina Island Blues Festival guitar from 2000.
